Finally, remember the  different between  planning and control.

Planning takes place  before the project starts  and control is what we  do during the project.

The most challenging  part of project  management is to be  able to respond  appropriately as  unforeseen  circumstances hit the  project.

More resources may be  needed, certain parts of  the project may need  accelerating, some  plans may have to be  scrapped and thought  through again.

Again, increasingly,  computer software  comes to our help.
Systems such as  enterprise project  management packages  are used for larger  projects to coordinate  information.

Some even act as an  Internet-based portal  where are participants  in the project can share  information.
